The greatest advantage offered by an Inverse ETF is that the investor is not required to hold a margin account and the consequent unlimited risk of short selling. Inverse ETFs seek to perform opposite their benchmark ETF. They are particularly popular instruments in a bearish market, but a few potential downsides exist.
